About the role - This is a remote based role can be located in either Spain or UK. 

The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business requirements & processes and identifies business technology and/or process & information opportunities, working with business and IT managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budgets. 

 

Activities/Responsibilities 

 

  • Establishing the contribution that technology can make to business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting and documenting requirements with stakeholders, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, preparing business cases, usability requirements analysis and usability evaluation.
  • Working closely with and influencing a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration with those who share common objectives
  • Presenting and discussing complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Identifying and obtaining agreement on the requirements / features which will be most beneficial to the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with agreed best practices by selecting appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications.
  • Identifying and raising issues impacting the execution of strategic / operational / project plans.
  • Overseeing implementation of solutions – checking against the initial requirements
  • Decision making to enable the success of projects and team objectives
  • Understanding overall Enterprise Architecture and assess degree of conformance of existing and new business processes.
  • Maintaining an awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes some responsibility for personal development.

 

Experience 

 

  • Experience in a Business Analyst or similar IT focused role
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of Program & Portfolio Management methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management skills with the ability to gather requirements and clearly communicate with all levels
  • Strong business analysis skills with a good understanding of how to investigate, analyse and identify benefits/risks with business solutions
  • Extensive experience with requirements definition and management
  • Highly analytical with demonstrable experience
  • Experience of the project lifecycle
  • Experience working in a matrix structure
  • Project Management certifications, such as PMP, CAPM or Prince 2 are desirable

 

Education  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field, Masters preferred or equivalent combination of education/experience.
